ABOUT ME
Teacher and Student Advocate
Amy Cox is 21-year veteran educator with a continued commitment to support student and teacher growth through advocacy, collaboration, professional development and leadership .Amy currently reviews ELA Grades 3-5 materials with Ed Reports, is an Instructional ELA Coach for Instruction Partners TN, serving on the Knox County Teacher Advisory Committee for the last 3 years and currently serves as a third grade ELA educator in Tennessee. Previously, Amy served as a Tennessee SCORE Fellow in 2017, Knox County Schools Exemplar Reading Instructor, TEAM/TAP PD Specialist and Nominated as Teacher of the Year 2015. Amy earned her B.A. in Early Childhood Education, followed by her M.S. in Elementary Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.. She is a member of Knox County Education Association, Teacher Education Association and has served on 3 separate educational coalitions for the state of Tennessee, including Governor Bill Lee. Amy is eager to find ways to support and impact education through continuous advocacy opportunities and training.
